Yes, for the estimating side. Automatic take-off reads attributes — item code, supplier, price, quantity — off your dynamic components. If your components already carry that data you’ll be productive quickly. If they don’t, the Component Library tool helps you add it in bulk, but that’s a real setup project and we’d rather say so up front.
No. Estimates, prices, customers and models are all stored and calculated on your machine — there’s no cloud pipeline and no telemetry. The single exception is the optional AI assistant: if you choose to use it, the relevant component context is sent to Anthropic’s API for that request. Nothing is sent unless you initiate it.
Only if you want the AI assistant, which is optional. It uses your own Anthropic API key and you pay Anthropic directly. Every core feature — estimating, documents, pricing, rules — works with no AI and no internet connection at all.
Windows only at launch. macOS is planned as a follow-up release. We’d rather ship one platform properly than claim two and disappoint half of you.
